Passed away at home in Petaluma, CA, June 6, 2017, beloved husband of Joan A. Silva. Loving father of Valerie O’Brien (Rick) and Janice Thompson (Mike). Cherished grandfather of Nicholas O’Brien, Matthew O’Brien, Seth Thompson and Evan Thompson. Brother of the late Vincent Silva and Edward Silva. Loving brother-in-law of Shirley Silva, Lauren and Maureen Bettinelli and the late Jim Bettinelli and Claire Lucchesi. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank was born, raised and educated in Petaluma and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a civil service employee as an electrician for the Coast Guard in Two Rock, and a truck driver for many years retiring from Royal Petroleum. He devoted his life to the care and enjoyment of his family and friends. He particularly enjoyed restoring antique cars. Frank was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma.
