Agnes Sibal, 92, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Albion passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Agnes was born December 26, 1924, in Albion, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Schultz) Sibal. She graduated from Albion High School in 1943. Agnes was employed by AAA for 23 years as an office supervisor. In 1971 she moved to Mt. Pleasant where she worked alongside the club pro at Mt. Pleasant Country Club. From 1980-1997 she was employed by Mission Lumber as a cashier. Agnes was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and volunteered on funeral luncheons and as a money counter.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Gunderson of Mt. Pleasant and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary Sibal; three brothers, John, Michael, and Joseph Sibal; and four sisters, Sister Vincent Joseph, Sister Marie Michael, Sister Catherine Therese, and Helen Clark.

A Funeral Mass for Agnes will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski as celebrant. A luncheon will immediately follow at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Albion. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to Mass.
