Emily Ruth Batterman, age 34, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, May 29, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on June 14, 1982 in Fond du Lac, the daughter Suzanne (Buell) Bubolz and Carl Bubolz. On September 22, 2007 Emily married Jason Batterman at St. Peter’s Church-Holy Family Parish. Together they ran Parsons Creek Farms. Emily was avid about caring for the land, and took special interest in gardening and food production. Together, Emily and Jason were actively pursuing their dream of establishing a heirloom fruit orchard. Emily was also truly dedicated to animals, and would do anything to help them. Caring for and training dogs was her lifelong ambition. Her current passion and dream was to train and ride a team of oxen, bringing the history of her farm full circle. She loved to educate others, freely sharing her wisdom with anyone who could benefit by it. Emily especially loved Door County, cherishing the week Jason and her spent there each year. Emily was very proud about the history of their farm and about her time spent milking cows. She was very passionate about self-sustainability and was a city slicker turned real country bumpkin. Emily took to the outdoors, eagerly learning everything she could to reap the bounty of nature through hunting and foraging. In 1994 she participated in the Kids from Lakeshore performance.

Emily will forever be remembered for selfless compassion for other people and animals.
