Mrs. Metcalf passed away at 10:02 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Southgate Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Metcalf was retired from the Good Luck Glove Factory and was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Metropolis.
She is survived by one son, Carl E. Metcalf and wife, Bonnie, of Belknap; two granddaughters, Tina Kennedy and Carla Reynolds, both of Metropolis; three great-grandchildren, Darrell Kennedy of Hawaii and Travis Kennedy and Brittany Reynolds, both of Metropolis; one sister, Lillian Dorrance of Metropolis; one brother, Jackie Winters of Carrier Mills; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Metcalf; one son, Bobby Dale Metcalf; one sister; and three brothers. Her parents were Julius and Bertha Winters.
