Bonnie Griffin, 80, of Georgetown, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 17, 1937, in Norman, Oklahoma to Louis Orville and Laverne Burr.

Bonnie was a devoted wife to C.E. Griffin of 54 years and will be sadly missed by her son, Gary Griffin and wife Carol; daughters, Julie Diem and husband John and Sandy Mark and husband Richard; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her brother, Larry Burr and wife Theresa.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband C.E. Griffin, her parents Louis Orville and Laverne Burr, brother O.A. (Bud) Burr, granddaughter Elizabeth Herro Dowdy, and great grandchildren Fischer, Benjamin, and Hayes Dowdy.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, with interment to immediately follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jennifer Pascar, Michael Griffin, Glenda Hatfield, Richard Mark, Greg Loughmiller, and Kelly Davis.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the caring staff at Hospice Austin, Visiting Angels of Georgetown, her friends and community in Sun City, and grandchildren Michael Griffin and Jennifer Pascar.
