NORMAL - Eileen Lancaster, 90, of Normal, passed away at 11:36 PM on Saturday June 10, 2017 in Fresno, CA.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 20 at Christ Lutheran Church, 311 N Hershey Rd, Normal with Rev. Jonathan Huehn officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the church and interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
Eileen was born in Danvers, IL on December 13, 1926, a daughter to Frank George and Aalke Ettje Quathammer Oltman. She married Clarence Lancaster Jr. in Bloomington on February 5, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1997.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Perger, Oakhurst, CA; sons, Ronald Lancaster, Charlotte, NC, Rodney Lancaster, Richmond, IL; grandchildren, Brooke Lisano, Laura Berglund, Brandon Arteman, Brittany Shorey, Brianna Chaves, Sarah Berglund, Seth Lancaster; 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Berglund, parents, Frank and Aalke Oltman, and twin brother, Floyd Oltman.
Eileen graduated from Concordia College, River Forest, IL with a teaching certificate. She was a homemaker and later in life worked in the Comptroller’s office at Illinois State University in Normal and retired after 13 years of service. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Normal.
