Marilyn Ann Socie, 78, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Center. She was born on January 27, 1939 in Oregon, Ohio to George and Eleanor Cedoz. Marilyn was a 1957 graduate of Clay High School and worked as a secretary for the Oregon Fire Department for 30 years. She was often found spending time with friends at the Oregon Senior Center or taking trips to the casino. In her spare time, Marilyn enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Socie; children, Lorri (Guy) Hall and Jeffery (Jennifer) Socie; grandchildren, Brett (Brittany) Socie and Katie (Joseph) Baker; great-grandchildren, Ella and Aria Baker; sister, Bernice Martin and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Norman and Glen Cedoz.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., in Oregon on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 3-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where family will greet guests after 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ignatius Building Fund or to the Oregon Senior Center.
