AGE: 84 • Manchester

Rex Corbin, 84, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Grant, IA, he lived in South Pulteney, NY for 26 years before moving to Manchester in 2006. Rex was a retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander having served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a systems analyst with Corning Glass Works in Elmira, NY and Data Processing Officer at Riggs National Bank in Washington, DC. He was a member of Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Seaside Heights.

Rex was predeceased by his wife Jean Mae Cupp Corbin, in 2008. He is survived by a daughter, Jane Minor and her husband David of NC; two sons, Jeff and his wife Anne Corbin of PA and Roger and his wife Darcie Corbin of MN and 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Judy.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 until the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
