ODESSA - Franklin Marion Beam, 73, was called home to be with his Lord, on June 13, 2017 in Odessa, Texas.

Frank was born on September 12, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Marion and Kathryn Fisher Beam. He loved God, his family, his friends, his country, and ... his Texas; and he proudly stood up for them all. He was a Class of 1963 graduate of Permian High School. He then proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He also served the Odessa Police Department as an officer, achieving many honorable titles over his 22 years of service. His retirement from the force didn't lead him into retirement, but instead led him to be a West Texas business owner of Advance Locksmith. He married Reba Cook on November 15, 1982 in Odessa.

His unwavering relationship with Christ brought hope to many people. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Odessa, was active with the Rainbow's End Emmaus group, shared his love of music by performing his favorite tunes on StreetJelly.com, and has posted a few videos on youtube.com. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitars, photography and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Dee Beam II, grandson, Justin Beam, brother-in-law, John E. Roberts and great niece, Amy Roberts.

Frank is survived by his wife, Reba Beam, sister, Elsa Roberts, son, Richard Beam and wife, Jamie, daughter, Leighana Jones and husband, Jasper, daughter, Kristi Paredes and husband, James, son, David Beam, daughter, Aimee Diocares and husband, Juan, son, Landon McCan and wife, Christi, son, Eric McCan, nephew, Johnny Roberts and wife, Donna, niece, Pam Simpson and husband, Anthony, 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
