She was born Aug. 25, 1919, in Dublin, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Roberts) Hoover. Lena was a lifelong homemaker and a member of the Markleville East Christian Church. She loved playing cards and visiting with her friends, and enjoyed the staff and good times at the Rawlins House.
She is survived by son, Thomas (special friend and companion, Elise Dulworth) Cole of Markleville; daughter, Dixie Clem of Markleville; five grandchildren, Mark (Julie) Cole, Joey (Susan) Cole, Eric Clem, Jason (Dana) Clem and Colby Clem; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Karen Connell and Jeanne Carey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joe Cole, in 1998; two brothers, Robert and Wayne Hoover; and two sisters, Elizabeth Harbison and Esther Hankins.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Condo & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Hervie Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
