Arvid Garnard "AKA" Harvey was born in Brocton Mass on May 15th 1893 to Charles Olson and Mathilda Carlson Olson who were immigrants from Sweden. Harvey was the second born of 5 children, 3 brothers and a sister who died at 17 months old. Harvey spent his whole life in Brocton Mass where he married Hanora (Nora) Battis in 1915. They had three children, Francis Eugene (Frank), Harvey Charles, and a daughter Dorothea Genevieve. Harvey was a carpenter who owned his own business, H.G. Olson & Son's. When Harvey was 24 he was drafted into WWI (1917/18). When he returned from war he continued his business as a carpenter and he also was in Real Estate. In 1942 when WW2 came along he enlisted. He was then separated and later divorced. His ex-wife Nora relocated to California where she remarried. Harvey never remarried and remained in Brocton until his death in 1959 from Cancer of the tonsil.
