Sarah Rust was the daughter of Israel Rust and Rebecca Clark Rust. She married Deacon Samuel Allen 1675-1739 in Northampton, MA (the hometown of both of them) on 20 Feb 1699 when they were both 24 y.o. She had a few children who lived: Dea Jonathan, Samuel, Joseph, Hannah, Experience and Sarah. She died when she was 71 years of age. I have not found her place of burial. It seems that it must be one of those hard-to-find early graves. It is most likely at Bridge Street Cemetery.

On page 157 of "Northampton Death records," it says that on 8 Sep 1746, Sarah Allen, "widow," died. Being a "widow, her husband's last name was "Allen" it was not her maiden name. This shows that this record is that of Sarah Rust Allen, wife of Deacon Samuel Allen, son of Samuel Allen and Hannah Woodford. (the record is not completely clear about who it was, because it doesn't say who she was the widow of or what her maiden name was. But one can figure it out! )
