Lillian Walker Carpenter, 96, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, June 16, 2017, in Iuka, Mississippi. Mrs. Carpenter was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker, and was known for her cakes, especially 7-Up cakes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Snowdown Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, Mississippi, is entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by one son, Joe Carpenter of the United Kingdom; one daughter, Pat Carpenter Hite (Delbert) of Michigan; a niece and nephew whom she raised, Sharon Lorge and Tommy Carpenter, both of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Barbara Walker Balcom of Corinth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Carpenter, and a daughter, Peggy Jean Daniel.
