Born November 26, 1934 at Camden, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Morgan and Lucille Gore Morgan.
Mrs. Poynter attended White Hall United Methodist Church which was planted by her husband’s grandfather, Robert Poynter.
A homemaker first and foremost, Mrs. Poynter worked outside the home for a time, most memorably alongside her family as the owner/operators of Quick Lube in Austin, Texas.
She was always hands on with her children and the youth of the community, whether youth sports or working with children with learning disabilities.
Mrs. Poynter is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Don Poynter; children, Steven Poynter, Tracy Daniel (Mike) and Scott Poynter (Kim); Six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
