Frances LaVerne Horton Dodson was born December 16, 1928 in Denton, Texas to Sam Horton and Lucy Smith Horton. She married William E. Dodson on December 8, 1951 in Garland, Texas. She died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman, Texas at the age of 88.
Frances was a Teller at the First National Bank of Trenton for over 30 years. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ in Trenton.
She is survived by sons, Wayne Dodson and wife Tamira of Whitewright, Michael Dodson and wife Cheryl of Dallas; grandchildren, Krystal Dodson, Daniel Rushing, Samantha Dodson, Chris Dodson, Kelby Dodson, Kendall Dodson; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Lucy Horton; husband, William “Tunk” Dodson; and her brothers and sisters.
Memorial Service Services will be held 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Mr. Howard Ray Horton.
Memorials may be made to the Trenton Church of Christ or to the Whitewright Church of Christ.
