Funeral services for Johnny Ray Perritt, 81, of Downsville, LA, will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Jerry Saulsberry and Rev. Ricky Baker will officiate. Interment will follow at W.L. Williams Cemetery in Eros, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Johnny was born March 7, 1936 in Chatham, LA and passed away June 17, 2017 in Downsville, LA. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Wayne Perritt; father, Marvin Perritt; mother, Elsie Perritt; sister, Thelma Fuller; brothers, Charles, Wendell and Elvin Perritt; father-in-law, Earl C. Brown; and mother-in-law, Ola C. Brown. Mr. Perritt was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Graphic Packaging (formally OlinKraft and Manville) and Tyner Petrus. He was also an ordained minister and former real estate agent.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Brown Perritt; brother, Bobby Perritt and wife, Martha; brothers-in-law, Sammy Brown and wife Gloria, Ira Brown and wife Angie, Mike Brown and wife Shirlyn, Johnny Brown, and Roy Fuller; sister-in-law, Susan O’Quinn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for their kindness to Mr. Perritt.
