Joyce is preceded in death by her father John P.Grissom,mother Mirea Wallis Grissom,brothers Homer Wallis Grissom,L.D.Grissom.and sisters Vivian Athene Grissom Guy,and Lillian Mirea Grissom.
She grew up in Kemp Texas,on a farm,and graduated high school in Kemp.She came to Dallas in 1942 after graduation from high school.Mother was retired from the federal gov.Mother was active in the Eastern Star,in the 1950s and 1960s,and also Shalman temple Daughters of the Nile where she was in the patrol for many years.She was a life member of VFW Post 6796 Aux..Mother was married to my father for 62 yrs.
