GREEN -- David E. Neighbour, age 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, February 23, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Danville, Pa., lived 50 years in the Elyria and Amherst areas until moving to Green five years ago. Mr. Neighbour was a self employed photographer; was a professional color processing lab owner and in later years owned the Good Neighbour Christian Bookstore. He was a member of The Chapel.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ralph W. Neighbour, Sr., and Ruth May (Zimmerman) Neighbour; daughter, Nancy Joan Neighbour; he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Yvonne (Clark) Neighbour; sons, David Dean (Mary), William Webster (Tammy) and Robert Clark (Rhonda) Neighbour; daughter, Shirley Maureen (Neighbour) (Sami) Shbeeb; grandchildren, Eric, Amanda, Emily, Jonathan, Jordan, Evan, Danielle, David, Matthew, Benjamin, Hannah and Victoria; brother, Dr. Ralph W. Neighbour, Jr.; sister, Carol Jane (Neighbour) Stevens.
Funeral services Wednesday 11 a.m. at The Chapel, Green Campus, 1800 Raber Road, with Pastors Knute Larson, Eloy Pacheco, Mike Castelli, and Paul Sartarelli officiating. Burial at the Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at The Chapel, Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
