Reserve, Kans., August 20, 1901.— ... The funeral of Uncle Cliff Gentry was largely attended. He was one of the oldest settlers in this part of the county and was a great friend of the Indians.

DEATHS.
Gentry.
Clifton Gentry, aged 80, died of cancer Saturday afternoon at his home seven miles north of Hiawatha. Mr. Gentry leaves eight children. He was one of the first to cross the Missouri river into this part of the state. He was always a good citizen and was well known to all the old-timers. In recent years he did not go out very much but stayed quietly at home to await death. The funeral services were held from the house Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. Mr. Lamb of Reserve. Burial was made in the Hart cemetery.
