I. Lorene Bender-Dalessandri, 100, passed away June 21, 2017.

She was preceded in death by parents Merel W. Thomas and Ada G. Brunner, first husband of 52 years, Lawrence L. Bender; the second husband of 9 years, John A. Dalessandri

Siblings John W. Thomas, Jewel Cochran, Edward Brunner, and Donna Clark and step-daughter Mary F. Eichler. Survived by daughter, Charlene (Pete) Dascenzo; grandchildren, Diane (Steve) Starkey and Jennifer (Steve) Hronek; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Katelyn, and Leila; sister, Gertrude Flaugher.

Lorene was a homemaker in Grove City for 61 years. Member of the former Salem Heights Methodist Church on Alkire Road where she had many friends. Lorene enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and caring for her family.

She always worried about everybody else but herself.

Visitation Monday, June 26, 2017, from 4 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.

Private Interment to take place at Grove City Cemetery, Grove City, OH.

Special thanks to National Church Residences Hospice and the entire staff at the Mill Run facility for not only caring for Lorene for eight years but becoming her friends.
