Born and reared at Lovettsville, Va., she was the daughter of George W. and Mary (Fry) Smith.
She had been living in this vicinity for the past 54 years, nd was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Funkstown, and Mrs. Baker's Sunday School Class.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Lillian Wolf and Mrs. Iona Shilling, both of Hagerstown; and Mrs. Ruth Atkins, Brunswick; son, Harry I. English, Mt. Etna; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services at A. K. Coffman Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 pm with the Rev. George Bowden officiating. Interment in Funkstown Cemetery.
