Heiress, 6th daughter of Cornelius & Sophia Vanderbilt, she was not in control of her full faculties. considered an invalid. she died unmarried at the age of 39, she was entombed in the original Vanderbilt Mausoleum built by her father. her brother William Henry built the new & much larger Vanderbilt Mausoleum, he died in 1885 & after his entombment, the Commodore & Sophia, Frances, & both George Washington Vanderbilt's were moved.
