Gail D. Allman, 64, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away at 12:50 pm on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the home of her aunt and uncle, Elnor and Orvil McDonald. Born on April 5, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama, to Elbert and Thelma (McDonald) Lawhorn.

Gail lived in Rockford since 1966, coming from Alabama. Employed with J.L. Clark, where she worked over 40 years. Member of Christ Lutheran Church. Bowled for many years on the J.L. Clark bowling team.

Survivors include: daughter, Valerie (Robert) Rote; grandchildren, Kayla Rote and Colin Rote; sisters, Brenda (Rick) Parker, Barbara (Albert) Woo, Wanda Sturgeon, and Diane (Bruce) Jones; brother, James (Connie); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.

Predeceased by: parents; grandparents, Joseph and Rena McDonald.

Gail will be missed and long remembered for her caring and helpful ways, her dedication to her family, her smile, robust laughter and sense of humor.

Funeral Service on Monday, October 22, 2007 in Christ Lutheran Church. Private burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
