ALLEN CHAVERS is the son of John Bothey Chavers and Mrs. Julia Ann Woodard Chavers (Reeves). He is the husband of Mrs. Emma Jones Chavers who preceded him in death.

Obituary | "Rites Sunday -- Services for Allen Chavers, 82, of Diana, are to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Grove Methodist Church at Ore City. The body is to lie in state at Hayward Funeral Home, Marshall, from 4 p.m. Saturday until service time Sunday. Burial is to be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. A retired farmer, he died Monday at his home in Diana. Surviving are one brother, B.M. Chavers, of Marshall; one sister, Mrs. Rosie Rigsby, of Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Johnson, of Longview, and Mrs. Pearlene Holloway Chavers, of Diana; 10 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren."
