Alan was a 1971 graduate of Oak Park H.S. and went on to receive a BS in Biology and a BA in Chemistry from UMKC. In 1989 he earned his DDS from UMKC School of Dentistry. Dr. Fashion was extremely proud of his private practice and the treasured relationships he established with his patients over nearly 30 years. Dr. Fashion also provided contract dentistry to the Federal Government for 17 years. A personal point of honor for Dr. Fashion was his service as a Major in the US Army Reserves.
Alan was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Melanie (Buckallew); two daughters, Aimee Fashion- Kirkpatrick & Arin Fashion; son-in-law and friend, Cam Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Alyssia Fashion, Ava, Grayson, & Alma Kirkpatrick; mother and step- father, Ann & Bill Ballew; sister, Michele (Tony) Skeen; and three nephews.
Memorial service 2 p.m. Sat., July 1, at White Chapel. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment & Military Honors will be at White Chapel.
