James "Skip" Connelley (11/17/47 - 06/18/17) was born in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1965. Before his untimely death caused by heart failure, he made his living as the instrument repair person at Mesilla Valley Pro-Music and was proficient with everything from band instruments to banjos. Skip also played mandolin and guitar and was a writer of short stories, songs, and pensive thoughts.

He was a very spiritual man and served not only as the sound and light technician for the Center for Spiritual Living but also as a licensed practitioner and board member. He loved nature and animals and we're sure he was welcomed home by his beloved Chaco.

He is survived by his cousin Bob, many, many friends, his dog Ana (who has been adopted by a loving family) and Kitty (who is still looking for a home).

Skip's life will be celebrated at a memorial on Saturday, August 12th at 4pm at the Center For Spiritual Living, 575 N. Main in Las Cruces. A Mexican food pot-luck will follow the service at CSL. Telephone: 575.523.4847

Donations may be made to CSL in memory of Skip or to a place of your choice in his honor.

Special prayers and gratitude to Rev. Bonnie the Younger, the Baileys, DAC Sheriff and all the Medical Professionals who retrieved our beloved friend.
