Betty enjoyed going shopping and watching television, especially movies. Going to church on Christmas Eve was very special to her.
She was always concerned for her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children (Debbie) Baker of North Street and Cathy (John) Harvill of Phoenix Arizona; grandchildren, Tammy (Casey) Boyd of Colville, Wash., Holly (Cesar) Tello of Phoenix, . Ariz. and Lindsay, Karleigh and Jordan Baker, all of North Street; five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Berniece Frasier of Port Huron Township and Violet (Florian) Wolak of Crystal Falls; her brother Clarence Pifer of Sarasota, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marcina Hux who passed, away May 7, 2001.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in Smith South Family Funeral Home 1230 Seventh St. Burial will follow in Ruby Cemetery.
