Son of Cornelius Van Buskirk Prall and Hannah Adelia "Delia" Decker, husband of Ida Howard Silliman, whom he married on January 11, 1886 in Brooklyn, NY, and again on January 31, 1947 in Brookhaven, NY, and father of Ella Katherine (married William Clark Chapman), Rebekah Lou "Reba" (married Henry A. Simonson, married Cowles), and Edna Blanche Prall (married Arthur Robert Chadwick). Brother of Rebecca D. Prall (married Steven A. Deas).

Husband of Grace Mary Halliday Vreeland, whom he married in 1911 in New York.

Obituary - Lloyd De Forest Prall, aged 86, died Monday, at his home at 50 Swezey street, Patchogue. Born in New Springville, Staten Island, he had lived in Patchogue nine months and was a retired contractor. Surviving are his widow, Ida H. Prall of Patchogue; three daughters, Mrs. Ella K. Chapman of Patchogue, Mrs. Edna Chadwick of Douglaston, L. I., Mrs. Reba Cowles, whose home is in New Jersey, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Ruland chapel, the Rev. George Fort officiating. Interment was in the Cedar Grove cemetery.
