Obituary:
Ann M. Daniels – Ulmer, age 59, of Port Huron and Buffalo, New York died unexpectedly of natural causes on March 4, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She was born March 2, 1958 in Buffalo to Herbert and Elizabeth Daniels. Ann lived in the Port Huron area for the past 30 years. She was an artist and she created many pieces of art that she mostly gave away to friends, new and old. She was also very active in all the community's she encountered challenging them to be better. She never stopped growing as a person and was a woman of many talents. For the past 5 years she traveled the world on her spiritual path towards enlightenment through Yoga and life experiences. She was a loving mother and raised 3 children. She is survived by her son, Coleton Ulmer, a daughter, Brooke Ulmer, 4 brothers, Chris (Kitty) Daniels, Timothy (Lisa) Daniels, Thomas (Donna) Daniels, Paul Daniels, and a sister, Elizabeth (Dan) Daniels-Kapa, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Dillon Leif Ulmer on September 9, 2007, her parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Daniels, and her aunt Ann McNamara. A funeral mass will take place at 10:30 AM Friday at St. Edward on the Lake. There will be visitation Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home – North, 1525 Hancock Street. There will also be visitation at church on Friday beginning at 9:30 AM. Memorials may be made to the Ann and Dillon Scholarship Fund.
