Gloria Mac Blaylock, 82, went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2017. She was born March 5, 1935, to the late Mac and Gertrude Stephenson of Rossville, Ga.
She was of the Baptist faith and loved her sons and grandchildren abundantly. Gloria was an accomplished pianist who played and sang for her church and for The Southerners Gospel Quartet. One of her greatest accomplishments was teaching and leading all of her children and grandchildren to the Lord.
Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Gaye Proctor, and her beloved husband, George T. Blaylock. Gloria is survived by her loving sons, Tommy (Pam) Blaylock, of East Ridge, Tenn., and Tim (Yolanda) Blaylock of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.; grandchildren, Doug Blaylock, Josh Blaylock, Christy (John) Duncan, and Nicole (William) Howell; 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will have a graveside service Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Devotion in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson, TN. Services provided by Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services.
