Helen was united in marriage to Robert H. Mueller on September 25, 1953 in Kanas City, MO. The majority of her working career was spent with Farmers Insurance as an occupational control clerk. Helen enjoyed sewing, knitting, and golfing. She was a long time member of Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs, MO.
Survivors include son, Larry Burrus (Priscilla) of Bryson City, NC; sister, Virginia Nolte of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Kimberly Bird (Mark) of Salina, KS, Troy Burrus (Mary) of Seattle, WA, Travis Burrus (Layla) of Missouri City, TX; great-grandchildren, Blake, Chloe, Jason. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Mueller; parents, Peter and Ruth Cox; sister, Sarah Jane Williams.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 N.W. RD Mize Rd., Blue Springs, MO. Funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Burial will follow at the Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice.
