Early Life: Earl was born May 30, 1934, in Algona, Iowa, to John Frank and Odeal Cecilia Hegarty Eller. He bravely served in the military in his early 20s and was honorably discharged in about 1958.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Earl was the perfect picture of a hard worker. Even with a meager education, through dedication and persistence, he became a superintendent over many different projects. Driving across the United States you would witness countless bridges, buildings, water tanks and many other structures including the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics Bob Sled Race Track and the Vivint Arena that Earl helped create. Earl retired in 1997. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, watching sports, trips to Wendover and visits from his children and grandchildren. Earl Melvin Eller, a devoted Catholic, peacefully passed away on the morning of June 30, 2017, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was 83.

Family Message: "There is a hole in our hearts that will always belong to Earl. His advice and sweet presence will be sorely missed. But we are happy that he and his sweetheart are reunited."
Survived By: Twin sons: Shawn Frank (Ashley) and Shane Eugene (Emily); grandkids: Jake, Kaylee, Tayson, Marek, Barrett, Daphne, Alec and Sawyer; siblings: Betty and Elise (Clarance) and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded In Death By: His beautiful wife of 28 years, Maxine Louise Busch Eller; his parents; a grandbaby, Jasper Eugene; many siblings and family members.
