Rev. Herschell Eaker, age 70 of Cohutta, departed this life on Monday afternoon at his home.
He was the son of the late Jim and Lilly Eaker. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Hewitt, brothers John, Eugene, Leland and Lloyd Eaker.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Eaker; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Eaker of Dalton, Jimmy and Janet Eaker of Varnell, Steve and Teresa Eaker of Cohutta, Danny and Donna Eaker, of Chatsworth.
Daughters and Sons-in-law, Linda and Charles Boles of Kingston, Tenn., Judy and Donnie Hilley of Chatsworth, Melissa and Kevin Vinson of Ringgold.
Brother, James Eaker of LaFayette; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene Grider, Louise Roper, both of Tunnel Hill, Nettie and Howard Morrison of Chatsworth, Virginia and Jimmy Barton of Dalton.
