Anna was the 1st of 6 children born to Frederick and Sophia Hoppert Hexamer and she married Edward Cooper Sep 23, 1908, in Eureka, Illinois, Woodford County. They did not have any children. After Ed's passing, Anna rented out the second bedroom of her home to female students at Illinois State University, which was only about a mile south. She enjoyed being "Mother" to the young ladies and it kept her busy with a "purpose" to her life.
She passed away during the last few days of my 3rd tour in Viet Nam and I was extremely dismayed to be unable to attend her funeral.
