McCorkle, Gerald

75 of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on July 2, 2017. Gerald "Mac" Russell McCorkle, born on the 15th of March, 1942 (75 years old), passed away on July 2nd, 2017 at his home in Mesa, after a long battle of Pneumonia. Gerald was a proud Veteran that served in the Air Force for 23 years. He ended his term as a Senior Master Sargent, influencing peoples' lives while working as a CBPO at Williams Air Force Base. After retiring, he worked for the IRS and put his Master's Degree to use. Mac was not only warmhearted, funny man who always put people before himself, he was also a loving husband to Rita McCorkle, a loving father to Mark McCorkle, a step father, a loving grandfather to numerous grandchildren and a friend to many. His services will be held on Saturday, July 8th 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mesa at 9:00AM. Then he will be interred in his plot with a Military Service at Valley of the Sun Funeral Home at a later time.
