Lula (Lou) Redman, was born to Ulysses Ward Redman and his wife, Isabelle Williamson. Born in Iowa, as a young girl she and her family moved to Dalhart, Texas, where she met her future husband, Roy Hardgrave. They were married and had a son and a daughter. Tragically, Lou developed colon cancer and died at the age of 38. She and Roy are both buried in unmarked graves at Rose Hills Memorial Park, in Whittier, Los Angeles, California.
