Dr. Joseph D. Moriarty, Age 93, of Coon Rapids, MN; originally of Brookings, SD, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Friday, July 7 at The Church of St. Agnes, 548 Lafond Ave, St. Paul, with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be held at The Church of the Epiphany, 1900 111th Ave NW, Coon Rapids, from 6-8 PM Thursday.

Interment will be at 11:30 am, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Thomas More Catholic Cemetery in Brookings, SD.

Joseph was a WWII Navy veteran, a general surgeon, and a longtime Coon Rapids family practitioner.

Survived by wife of 57 years, Mary; children, Joseph F., Molly, Matthew, Peter, Michael, Teresa, Fr. Mark, and Paul, and their families; and brothers, Dr. James and Paul.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Cecelia; brother, John W.; and sister, Cecelia Multhauf.
