Norman Francis Abbott, 66, Yelm resident and Automotive Technician in the Tacoma area, died Friday, June 9, 2017 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Norman was born on May 22, 1951 in Aberdeen to Marion Francis and Luella Mae (Allen) Abbott. He grew up in Montesano and graduated from Montesano High School. He then joined the US Army and served our country for 10 years. Following his discharge, he moved to Tacoma where he graduated from Clover Park Voc-Tech with a degree in Automotive Technology. He worked for various establishments in the Tacoma area including EconoLube in Lakewood, WA. He moved to Yelm three years ago to be with his son and grandchildren. Norman loved tinkering in the shop, playing drums, riding mountain bikes and fixing watches. He was preceded in death by a brother Don Abbott. There was a graveside service for Norman on Monday, June 19th at Noon in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen, WA.
