Bertha Calhoon Dies on Thursday

Mrs. Bertha M. Calhoon, 69, whose home is located one-half mile south of 224 on 303, died at 9:15 Thursday evening at the Huntington County Hospital where she had been a patient since July 12.

Born March 30, 1885 in Wells County Mrs. Calhoon was the daughter of William H. and Lucinda Freds Eversole. Her marriage to Francis Ohmer Calhoon took place in 1903. He died June 13, 1948. She was a member of the Huntington V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, Howard Dee Calhoon, at home; three brothers, John Eversole, Bluffton, Orin Eversole, Uniondale Rural Route and Charles Eversole, Poneto and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Boyd, Markle, Mrs. Minnie Fox, Huntington, and Mrs. O. V. (Vera) Plank, Murfreesboro, Ark.

The body is at the Bailey Funeral Home in Huntington where friends may call.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home with Rev. David L. Holl of Markle officiating. Burial will be in the Barnes Chapter IOOF Cemetery.
