Mrs. Otto Kemp Dies;
Funeral On Wednesday

Mrs. Otto Kemp, 69, who made at her home at 828 North Second Street in Fort Dodge died Sunday evening following a short illness. Mrs. Kemp suffered a heart attack at her home about 6 p.m. Sunday. Rushed to Lutheran Hospital in an ambulance, she was pronounced dead on arrival there.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the First Evangelical United Brethren Church. The Rev. Duane R. Voas, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the Oakland cemetery.
Bruces are in charge of the funeral arrangements. The casket will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and will remain there until the time of the service.
Mrs. Kemp, born on June 17, 1887, in Fort Dodge, was the former Martha Augusta Prelip, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Prelip and attended the Fort Dodge schools and was married here on Nov. 16, 1905, to Otto Kemp.
The couple had resided in Fort Dodge ever since.
Surviving Mrs. Kemp are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Orville Hinton of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Clyde Largent of Fort Dodge and Miss Lorraine Kemp of Fort Dodge and one son, Lawrence Kemp also of Fort Dodge. Five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Clara Kemp of Goodell, Iowa, and two brothers, Frank Prelip of Kanawha and Arthur Prelip of Fort Dodge, also survive.
Her parents, one brother, Fred Prelip, and stepbrother Gus Hein, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kemp was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary.
