Linda graduated in 1957 from Beatrice High School. In 1966, she got her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Linda was born to be a teacher and did so for more than 30 years. She started out teaching elementary in Wilber, Nebraska, and finished with Reading Recovery at Holmes Elementary in Lincoln.
Linda was preceded in death by: parents and sister, Carol Burger.
She will be missed by: her husband, James Baker; sons, Jim and Nancy Baker, Scott and Kinsey Baker, and T Jay Baker; brother, Bob Lockwood; sister Judi and Harlyn Brandt; grandchildren, Michaela, Ashley, Becca and Brynn; nieces and nephews.
