His parents were Daniel and Edna Augg. He had 4 brothers Verle, Ralph, Gail and Bob Augg and they all preceded him in death. Surviving is his sister Arlene (Augg) Morgan.
He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lancaster.
He served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He belonged to the Lancaster Blue Lodge # 57, F&AM, Scottish Rite-Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine Temple, Aladdin Provost Unit, Ambassadors Club Royal Order of Jesters, and the Order of DeMolay.
He was a Lancaster Police Officer for 40 years, retiring as the Chief of Police.
He died at the Fairfield Medical Center.
