J. Leslie (Les) Miller, age 81, of Elizabethtown, PA passed away into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2017. He was born Saturday, January 11, 1936.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ezra and Eva (Ruhl), sister Charlene (John) Fry, brother Melvin, daughter Gwendolyn Joy, and son Gregory Alan.

In addition to his loving wife, Beverly (Moore), Les is survived by his sister Lois (Richard) Hilsher, and first wife, Josie (Hoffer) Weigel.

He led by example and was much beloved by his three sons, Stephen (Marie), Kevin (Tammy), Alan (Melody), and daughter Phyllis "PJ" (John) Mikesh.

His grandchildren who will always remember his quiet spirit, include Cody (fiancée Amanda Royer), Kelsey (Justin) Hoffmaster, Erin Wolf, Nathaniel, Ben, and Josh Kofalt, Brittany (Corey) Downing, Alexis (Nicholas) Ketterman, Hannah, Mitchel, and Jadon Miller. He just became a great-grandfather to his first great-grandson Lincoln Hoffmaster.

A native of Elizabethtown, he graduated from Milton Hershey School in 1954, and began his employment at an early age at Aberdeen Mills. During his teen years, he enjoyed showing beef cattle at the PA Farm Show earning ribbons and awards. Later, he was a salesman selling Turkey Hill Ice Cream products throughout the surrounding counties for many years. He also retired from maintenance work as an employee of Sprint. Les was an avid outdoorsman, and also enjoyed classic cars.

Les was a faithful and active member of Cedar Hill Community Church. This tough, hardworking peacemaker has met his Savior.

The family will receive friends at Goods Mennonite Church, 4374 Bossler Road, Bainbridge, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Rev. Wayne D. Lawton will officiate. Interment will follow at the Good's Mennonite Cemetery.
