George P Johnson took his last breath on Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, KS following a brief illness. George was born July 20, 1947 in Kankakee Ill to the proud union of George Johnson Sr. and Dorothy King (Johnson). His father, son Anthony Jackson and grandmother Mable Turner have all preceded him in death. George Johnson graduated from Lincoln High School in Charleston Mo. In 1965. He then enrolled in the Unites States Army where he was later honorably discharged. He moved to Aurora IL, where he gained employment with Caterpillar. He loved to travel and knew the highway like the back of his hand. He lived in many different places such as, Florida, Missouri, Illinois, South Carolina and Kansas. George was a very intelligent man, with a sense of humor, personality and smile that anyone (especially women) would fall in love with. The impression that he left on everyone he met, will be the reason that he will be greatly missed. In his final days he took great comfort in knowing he was surrounded by love and his legacy. He leaves to cherish his mother Dorothy King. They truly share an unbreakable bond. Since birth, she stood as his pillar of strength, teaching, guiding and leading him until his final days. He leaves 7 daughters and 6 sons, Stephon Peterson of Wichita, KS, Kaprena Pitts (Leonard) of Wichita, Ks, George Peterson of Wichita, KS, Demetrius Peterson of Wichita, KS, Andre Peterson of Wichita, KS, Elesia Porter of Memphis, TN, Allena Mitchell (Percy) of St. Louis, MO, Shemieka Scott of Greeneville, AL, Allegra Scott-Mitchell (Marcellous) of Ft.
