Elmer Smith, 83, 305 Beacon Place, died Saturday at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Burial is in Columbus Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born Jan. 3, 1903, in Colfax County near Richland. The son of Henry Martin and Priscilla J. Keller Smith, he attended Colfax County schools and Columbus schools. He married Annetta Mohlman.
Mr. Smith lived in Columbus, and then moved to San Diego, California, and later to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He sold cars in Columbus for A. E. Trowbridge and Nielsens. He was a member of the Elks and Moose in Albuquerque.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. LIVING Norton of San Diego, California; three sisters: Mrs. Alfred Mayme Schram of Monroe, Mrs. Walter Elsie Lusche of Columbus and Mrs. William Esther of Campbell of Columbus; and six
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annetta Mohlman; one son, Dr. Russell Smith; one sister, Susan Speicher; and one brother, Everett Smith.
