CHANDLER - Services for Arthur Macon Carver, 96, Chandler, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church, Chandler, with Dr. Johnny Beard and Floyd Perry officiating.
Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery, Brownsboro, under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Carver died March 1, 2007, in a Chandler nursing home.
He was born Dec. 30, 1910, in Henderson County to the late James and Bellma Carver. He was a dirt contractor and a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, Brownsboro. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Carver.
Survivors include sons, Hugh Carver and Lyndon Carver, both of Chandler; daughter, Mary Carver Perry, Mesquite; sister, Jo McCurley, Kilgore; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Paul Carver, Dillon Carver, John Perry, Greg Mitchell, Seth Hampton and Sandy Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Jones, Ben Fitzgerald, Mac Simmons, James Benny Herrin Jr. and his great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
