Mrs. Mary Francis Albofontee of 3471 Monroe Ave. in Lafayette, Calif., died there in John Mieur Hospital Monday at 12 p.m.

Funeral services are set for 10:30 Friday morning in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. The Rev. James Simpson of Farmersville, former pastor of Calvary Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Mrs. Albofountee was born Mary Francis Pursifull on Dec. 29, 1916 in Chicota, the daughter of the late Oscar and Corine (Carpenter) Pursifull. She attended Chicota public schools and in 1938 married Walter Frank Early of Paris, who died in World War II. She later married Tony Albofontee, who preceded her in death in 1970. She had been living in California since 1942 and had been associated with the Buick Agency in Oakland, Calif.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include one brother, W. C. (Sonny) Pursifull of Paris; two nephews, Tom Pursifull and Tim Pursifull of Paris and three aunts, Mrs. Maggie Mae David of Lafayette, Calif., and Mrs. Then Neal and Mrs. Myrtle Wilder both of Richmond, Ky.
