Ervin Locklear, 65, of Red Springs, was born on December 13, 1951 to the late Bizzell Locklear and Sarah Ida Locklear in Hoke County and departed this life on July 12, 2017 at his home. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandchild: Cynthia Jacobs and one great-grandchild: Krissi Anna Brooks; two sisters: Lucille Hunt and Helen Locklear; a brother: Lee Alford Locklear; and a special friend: Gary Locklear.
The funeral will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Red Springs with the Rev: Hedrick Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Jacobs Family Cemetery.

Locklear, James Locklear, Betty Locklear, Dearest Jacobs, and Mary Fay Locklear, all of Red Springs, and Zelma Brewer of Readsville; 35 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
