Hamilton, Genero Alford (Mama Nero) a resident of Montgomery, AL, born May 1, 1920, went to be with her Lord January 19, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM from Leak-Memory Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Snowdoun, AL….
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Ray Hamilton; son, Edward Ray Hamilton; grandson, Justin Kenneth Hamilton; parents, Bollen and Maggie Alford; sister, Lillie Mae (Turner) Speigner; brothers, Eldredge (Ell), Joe, Henry, Thomas, and Amigrade Alford.
Survivors are children, Bollen (Joanne) Hamilton, Millbrook, AL, Kenneth (Mary) Hamilton, Jacksonville, FL, Bruce Hamilton, Montgomery and daughter-in-law, Marie Hamilton, Montgomery; one brother, Murry Lee (Margaret) Alford, Macon, GA; sisters-in-law, Cathryn Howell, Elise, Florence, and Betty Alford; grandchildren, David (Noel) Hamilton, Edward (Vickie) Hamilton, Elizabeth (Tony) Staten, Amy (Robbie) Ingram, Carol (Jay) Matthews, Amber Hamilton, Richard (Rhonda) Gray, Theresa (Gilles) Bouthillette, Jennifer Gray, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
