Luella Bergstedt, 93, of Esko, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in New Perspective Senior Living, Cloquet. She was born September 22, 1923 in Esko, the daughter of Joseph and Lempi Juntunen. Luella was raised in Esko and was a 1942 graduate of Lincoln High School. She married Edwin Bergstedt on July 31, 1942.

Luella was a wife, mother and homemaker. Later, she and her husband owned and operated the Cloquet A&W Drive-In for 11 years. Luella was a long-time member of Apostolic Lutheran Church in Esko. She was an avid scrabble player, enjoyed working cross word puzzles, and loved the Minnesota Twins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; two sisters and four brothers.

Luella is survived by her children: Edwin “Butch” (Kathy), Jr., Eileen (Pete) Maki, Marcia (Corky) LeeJoice, Diane (Billy) Maunu, Joyce (Mike) Liikala, and Mary (Bruce) Hemmila; brother, Glenn Juntunen; 15 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

Burial in Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery.
